Rita Brugarolas is a student of engineering at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain. She was born in Pamplona which is best known for the running of the bulls. In summer 2008, she did an internship in Prof. Bonato’s laboratory at Harvard University where she learnt about signal processing and pattern recognition techniques to analyze muscle recordings from patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Rita’s research interests include hybrid electric vehicles and the creation of intelligent controllers for advanced cars.
